PRESS: Wildberries to sell electronics under own brand
MOSCOW, Mar 21 (PRIME) -- Russian marketplace Wildberries will start selling electronics and household appliances under its own brand, business daily Vedomosti reported on Tuesday.
Wildberries will offer smartphones, TV sets, and refrigerators under its own trademark in the mid-price segment, a company representative told the daily.
According to Vedomosti, the marketplace will develop sales of household appliances and electronics under brands Razz and Ruzz. According to the materials of the Federal Intellectual Property Service, Wildberries applied for registration of these trademarks at the end of December 2022.
Wildberries is going to offer about 100 items of household appliances and electronics soon, and portable gadgets, such as tablets, laptops, and smartphones, will be added in several months. The bulk of Wildberries’ household appliances will be assembled at Chinese plants, and TV sets will be made in Russia and Belarus.
The company representative added that trial supplies have already started, and the devices will be available only in Russia, but the marketplace will expand the offer to other countries of its presence, including Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Armenia.
